Over 60 years of experience
Maslag Oy was founded in 2000. Our crushing expertise dates back to 1959 and the Perälä family’s hands-on work in the industry.
Our Story
The Perälä family purchased its first crushing plant, an MK 63, in 1959. Born in 1961, Markku Perälä got to know the industry as a child, collecting tools and making coffee on maintenance days.
The MK 90 arrived in 1971. Markku spent his first full summer working at the plant in 1976. When a tandem axle broke in 1978 and damaged the electrical cabinet, he and his nephew rebuilt the electrical system. Practical challenges became opportunities to develop their expertise.
An overturned crusher trailer also required repairs. The rebuilt electrical systems served until 1982, when a C125/G2614 plant replaced the old equipment. The MK 120, purchased in 1975, was then Finland’s largest mobile crushing plant.
Founded in 2000, Maslag Oy continues this practical approach through plant design, manufacturing and maintenance.
Based on Markku Perälä’s recollections.
